1. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE An apology for absence was received from Mr J Collins (prior engagement).
2. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST Declarations of Pecuniary Interest There were no Declarations of Pecuniary Interest.
Declarations of Significant Interest There were no Declarations of Significant Interest from councillors present.
i) Updating of Declarations of Interest for the Code of Conduct Councillors are reminded that they should update their Declarations of Interest with the Monitoring Officer if necessary.
3. PLAN-IT-ASHFORD Nothing new to report.
4. PUBLIC INTERVAL The meeting was opened to the members of the public present from 7.02 – 7.30pm for questions and comment.
5. ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING Minutes 131 were accepted and it was unanimously agreed that Mr Krause should sign them as a true record of the meeting.

6. MATTERS FOR REPORT ARISING FROM PREVIOUS MINUTES There were no Matters for Report that were not covered on the agenda.
7. CORRESPONDENCE Healthwatch Serious Crime Directorate APEK
Email Correspondence – all emails received are forwarded to all councillors ABC re DPI forms.
Chairman’s Update The Chairman had nothing to report that was not covered on the agenda.
MUGA and Youth Shelter The tennis nets have been used twice so far this year.
Mrs Sutcliffe raised the following concerns: The information board is out of date. Some of the youths did not how to work the lights. There is a lot of rubbish in the tennis net box – Mr Cook will clear this out. Youths are climbing on the cage. Some residents did not know the net was available –continue to advertise in the Newsletter. Mr Sutcliffe offered and his offer was accepted, to replace the grommet in the green box. Mr Robey offered to discuss this up with ABC.
Update on Provision of Broadband in Hothfield and Arrangements for Public Meeting Arrangements for the Public meeting are in place.
Mr Krause reported that he had had discussions with ABC and KALC regarding the way in which this project could be funded and both he and Mr Robey, who supports this project, explained this to the councillors present who agreed the following:-
Resolution: If the overwhelming majority of residents vote in favour of the Parish Council arranging for the installation of broadband in Hothfield, the Parish Council will proceed with requesting Ashford Borough Council to accept the quotation of £14,800 from BT and to pay BT direct for the installation.
Hothfield Parish Council will repay Ashford Borough Council, upon request, over the period of time that is required to do so, incompliance with S137 and allowing for any other annual Parish Council expenditure from this power.

Resolution: Councillors unanimously agreed to pay the above accounts and noted the Direct Debit Payment to EDF for the electricity for the MUGA, taken on the 1st of each month for £20.00.

9. RISK ASSESSMENT Mr Parker will complete in time for the next meeting.
10. PLANNING Please see attached list. 11. FORUM FOR EXCHANGE OF INFORMATION BETWEEN COUNCILLORS The Clerk was asked to report 2 potholes in Cades Road to KHS.
Dave Beckley has been seconded to Ashford and Katie Parker is now our warden. If we are going to hold a fete next year an organiser needs to be appointed. Mr Howard will ask for volunteers at the public meeting tomorrow.
The Clerk will write to the gardeners at Godinton House and thank them for judging the Gardening Competition.
There being no further business the meeting closed at 8.35 pm.
