Minutes of the Ordinary Parish Council Meeting

held at The Bluebell Centre, Hothfield,

on Wednesday 2 April 2014 at 7.00 pm

PRESENT:  

Mr L Krause (Chair), Mrs D Hogben, Mr J Collins, Mr M Cook, Mr P Howard, Mr D Parker.

There were 2 Members of the Public present.

1.      APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE

An Apology for Absence was received from Mrs P Sutcliffe (prior engagement), Councillor Simkins and PCSO Manning.

 

  2.       DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

Declarations of Pecuniary Interest

Mr Howard declared a Pecuniary Interest in Planning Application No 14/00326/AS, as the proposed development is on his land.

 

Declarations of Significant Interest

There were no Declarations of Significant Interest from councillors present.

i)    Updating of Declarations of Interest for the Code of Conduct

                  Councillors are reminded that they should update their Declarations of Interest

                  with the Monitoring Officer if necessary.

 

3.       PLAN-IT-ASHFORD    

Mr Robey did not have anything specific to report.  He is attending a meeting regarding this project next week and will update councillors at the next meeting.

                                                              

4.    PUBLIC INTERVAL

The meeting was opened to the Members of the Public present from 7.14 – 7.20 for questions and comment.

 

5.      ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING

Minutes 126 were accepted and it was unanimously agreed that Mr Krause should sign them as a true record of the meeting.

6.      MATTERS FOR REPORT ARISING FROM PREVIOUS MINUTES

Mrs Sutcliffe and Mr Cook both have keys to the box containing the tennis nets.

           The Annual Parish Meeting is due to be held on 9 May 2014.

 

           The drain opposite The Barn House needs jetting.
