Minutes of the Ordinary Parish Council Meeting
held at The Bluebell Centre, Hothfield,
on Monday 11 June 2012 at 7.00 pm

There were 6 Members of the Public present for part of the meeting.
An Apology for Absence was received from Mrs P Sutcliffe, (prior engagement), and Mr D Parker, (prior engagement).
2. CO-OPTION OF PARISH COUNCILLOR
There were no applicants for the vacant position of Parish Councillor.
3. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
There were no Declarations of Interest.
i) Updating of Declarations of Interest for the Code of Conduct
Councillors are reminded that they should update their Declarations of Interest
with the Monitoring Officer if necessary.
4. PUBLIC INTERVAL
The meeting was opened to the Members of the Public from 7.05 – 8.10 for questions and
5. ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
Minutes 108 were accepted and it was unanimously agreed that Mr Krause should sign
them as a true record of the meeting.

6. MATTERS FOR REPORT ARISING FROM PREVIOUS MINUTES
The Post Office does not offer bonds to Parish Councillors. The Clerk will contact
NatWest and Nationwide to ask what accounts they offer.
7. UPDATE ON HOTHFIELD REGENERATION PROJECT
Mr Krause updated Councillors on the last meeting at ABC.
The plans for the extended car park were received by the Parish Council and will be
discussed at the next meeting. Mr Howard took the plans to look at.
Once closed the football pitch car park will become an extension of the Heathlands.
The scheme for refurbishing the toilets is still being discussed by the group.

IT SECURITY AND GOOD HOUSEKEEPING
Please bear the following in mind when using your home/work computer for Parish Council business.
All councillors should provide the Parish Council with a secure email address and ensure that virus software is current.
Councillors should be aware that all correspondence and emails are confidential until they are tabled at a Parish Council meeting. If anyone else is privy to the information contained in emails received by you on a home/work computer, please ensure that they are aware of this fact.
The Freedom of Information Act now extends to emails that would previously have been considered to be private, if they relate to council business.
Hothfield Youth Project
Nothing to report.
Diamond Jubilee Celebrations
Everyone agreed that the day was a great success and thanks were extended to all
members of the Diamond Jubilee Committee. Many of those who attended said the
would like to see a similar event organised again next year.
Accounts to be paid
Resolution: Councillors unanimously agreed to pay the above accounts.

11. FORUM FOR EXCHANGE OF INFORMATION BETWEEN COUNCILLORS
The Clerk was asked to report the verges and hedges along Bears Lane and the pothole
on the junction of School Road and The Street to KHS.
There being no further business the meeting closed at 9.00 pm.
