Minutes of the Ordinary Parish Council Meeting

held at The School, Hothfield,

on Thursday 3 August 2006 at 7.00 pm

PRESENT: Mrs S Whittington, Mr J Collins, Mr P Howard, Mr R Fletcher, Mr P Patten and Mr A Rawlins.

1. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE
An Apology for Absence was received from Mr Pitt due to a business commitment.

2. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
Mrs Whittington declared an interest in Planning Application No 06/00952 as she lives next door.

i) Updating of Declarations of Interest for the Code of Conduct
The Clerk reminded Councillors that they should update their Declarations of Interest with the Monitoring Officer if necessary.

Mr Patten to contact Mr Spiller and consult him regarding our objection

4. PLAY AREA – ROSPA REPORT
The ROSPA report has been received and there are various items which need attention.
Mr Fletcher said he would look at the bolts which need urgent attention and after discussion, it was agreed that Mr Collins should contact the gentleman who undertakes the repairs to the Village Hall to see if he would be able to action the other medium and low risk repairs. We need to confirm whether of not he is insured to do this work. As it is estimated that the repairs will be less than £100 only one quote will be needed.

5. ANY OTHER BUSINESS

There being no further business the meeting closed at 7.15 pm.
